1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, ^athe Son of God.¹

29 And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, ^r“You are ^sthe Christ.”

41 For truly, I say to you, ^jwhoever gives you a cup of water to drink because¹ you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.

35 ^fAnd as ^gJesus taught in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that ^hthe Christ is the son of David?

21 And ^mthen if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it.

61 But ⁱhe remained silent and made no answer. ^jAgain the high priest asked him, “Are you ^kthe Christ, the Son of ^lthe Blessed?”

32 Let ^rthe Christ, ^sthe King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may ^tsee and believe.” ^uThose who were crucified with him also reviled him.
