41 rThey cried for help, but there was none to save;
they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them.
28 mThen they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
29 The Lord is afar from the wicked,
but he bhears the prayer of the righteous.
15 When you gspread out your hands,
I will hide my eyes from you;
heven though you make many prayers,
I will not listen;
iyour hands are full of blood.
11 Therefore, thus says the Lord, Behold, I am bringing disaster upon them that they cannot escape. oThough they cry to me, I will not listen to them.
12 Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, sand though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them tby the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”
18 Therefore wI will act in wrath. xMy eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. yAnd though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.”
4 qThen they will cry to the Lord,
but he will not answer them;
rhe will hide his face from them at that time,
because they have made their deeds evil.
13 m“As I1 called, and they would not hear, mso they called, and I would not hear,” says the Lord of hosts,
12 There they icry out, but he does not answer,
because of the pride of evil men.
13 Surely God does not hear an empty cry,
nor does the Almighty regard it.
18 If I had scherished iniquity in my heart,
tthe Lord would not have listened.
