54 ^wYou shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. ^xTo a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, ^o“This is the land that you shall inherit by lot, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, ^laccording to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses. ^mAnd Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel ⁿaccording to their tribal allotments. And the land had rest from war.

2 Their inheritance was ^mby lot, just as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses for the nine and one-half tribes.
