4 And Jesus said to them, j“A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.”
44 (For Jesus himself had testified ethat a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.)
24 And he said, “Truly, I say to you, ono prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
21 Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the men of hAnathoth, iwho seek your life, and say, j“Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, or you will die by our hand”—
6 For yeven your brothers and the house of your father,
oeven they have dealt treacherously with you;
they are in full cry after you;
zdo not believe them,
though they speak friendly words to you.”
57 And sthey took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, t“A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.”
