11 For xeveryone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For neveryone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
4 xWhoever humbles himself like this child is the wgreatest in the kingdom of heaven.
23 eOne’s pride will bring him low,
fbut he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
26 thus says the Lord God: Remove the turban and take off the crown. Things shall not remain as they are. jExalt that which is low, and bring low that which is exalted.
