15 For I have given you an example, mthat you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, na servant1 is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, oblessed are you if you do them.
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
21 pWhoever has my commandments and qkeeps them, he it is who loves me. And rhe who loves me swill be loved by my Father, and I will love him and tmanifest myself to him.”
23 Jesus answered him, w“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and xwe will come to him and ymake our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And zthe word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.
10 kIf you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as lI have kept mmy Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
