1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty;¹ walk before me, and be ⁿblameless,

40 But he said to me, ‘The Lord, ^rbefore whom I have walked, will send his angel with you and ^sprosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son from my clan and from my father’s house.
