Abram Rescues Lot

1 In the days of Amraphel king of ^vShinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of ^wElam, and Tidal king of Goiim,

9 with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, four kings against five.

11 ^aIn that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, ^bfrom Assyria, ^bfrom Egypt, from ^cPathros, from ^dCush,¹ from ^eElam, from ^fShinar, from ^gHamath, and from ^hthe coastlands of the sea.

2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of ^bthe vessels of the house of God. And he brought them to ^cthe land of Shinar, to the house of his god, ^dand placed the vessels in the treasury of his god.

11 He said to me, “To the ^lland of Shinar, to build a house for it. And when this is prepared, they will set the basket down there on its base.”
