Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision

1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty;¹ walk before me, and be ⁿblameless,

14 ^aIs anything too hard¹ for the Lord? ^bAt the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.”

33 Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and ⁱcalled there on the name of the Lord, ^jthe Everlasting God.
