43  ^o“Rejoice with him, O heavens;¹

bow down to him, all gods,²

for he ^pavenges the blood of his children³

and takes vengeance on his adversaries.

He repays those who hate him⁴

and cleanses⁵ his people’s land.”⁶

6  For ^bthey have shed the blood of ^csaints and prophets,

and ^dyou have given them blood to drink.
