12 And Hazael said, “Why does my lord weep?” He answered, “Because I know dthe evil that you will do to the people of Israel. You will set on fire their fortresses, and you will kill their young men with the sword eand dash in pieces their little ones and rip open their pregnant women.”
16 bTheir infants will be dashed in pieces
before their eyes;
their houses will be plundered
and their wives ravished.
16 1 Samaria jshall bear her guilt,
because kshe has rebelled against her God;
they shall fall by the sword;
ltheir little ones shall be dashed in pieces,
and their mpregnant women ripped open.
10 mYet she became an exile;
she went into captivity;
nher infants were dashed in pieces
at the head of every street;
for her honored men olots were cast,
pand all her great men were bound in chains.
9 Blessed shall he be who takes your little ones
and adashes them against the rock!
14 therefore qthe tumult of war shall arise among your people,
and all your fortresses shall be destroyed,
as rShalman destroyed Beth-arbel on the day of battle;
smothers were dashed in pieces with their children.
