21 Then he went to the spring of water and ^bthrew salt in it and said, “Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.”

25 And he ^dcried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log,¹ and he ^ethrew it into the water, and the water became sweet.

There the Lord² made for them a statute and a rule, and there he ^ftested them,
