The Lord Calls Samuel

fNow the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. gAnd the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.


Lamentations 2:9

Her gates have sunk into the ground;

khe has ruined kand broken her bars;

lher king and princes are among the nations;

the law is no more,

and mher prophets find

no vision from the Lord.


Ezekiel 7:26

26 wDisaster comes upon disaster; xrumor follows rumor. yThey seek a vision from the prophet, while zthe law1 perishes from the priest and acounsel from the elders.


Amos 8:11

11  Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord God,

when wI will send a famine on the land

not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
