17 And he said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, das sheep that have no shepherd. And the Lord said, ‘These have no master; let each return to his home in peace.’”
5 mSo they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and nthey became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered;
2 For fthe household gods gutter nonsense,
and the diviners see lies;
hthey tell false dreams
and give empty consolation.
Therefore ithe people wander like sheep;
they are afflicted for lack of a shepherd.
