44 The Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh ^kto the birds of the air and to the beasts of the field.”

46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. ^mAnd I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day ⁿto the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, ^othat all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,

4 ^jThey shall die of deadly diseases. ^kThey shall not be lamented, nor shall they be buried. ^lThey shall be as dung on the surface of the ground. ^mThey shall perish by the sword and by famine, ⁿand their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth.

7 And in this place ^pI will make void the plans of Judah and Jerusalem, ^qand will cause their people to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those who seek their life. ^rI will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the air and to the beasts of the earth.

20 And I will give them into the hand of their enemies ^fand into the hand of those who seek their lives. ^gTheir dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
